18/09/2012 - IM BACK

Well first of all I guess I owe anybody that reads this build log an apology. No updates for a whole twelve months.  Not a lot of action either for the twelve months either.

From 18/09/11 until 01/03/12 some progress was made completing the cabin area and riveting on the rear top skin to the fuselage.  There were extra holes to be drilled ready for the return fuel lines I'm installing and plenty of nutplates to rivet on.  The static system received some attention and more work on the pump assembly.  So I will do my best to document these with estimated dates and times and information in the relevant sections.

However from March until now (some still ongoing) I have been physically unable to fly or build....or anything else for that matter. One of my other hobbies is snowboarding and after a terrific day of wild pistes and black runs, I fell over on a nursery slope !  I broke my humerus and damaged my radial nerve.

X-ray from first operation shows a nail surgically installed to hold the bones together.

Due to the radial nerve damage my left hand was limp and unusable.  Unfortunately the arm did not heal and I had to have a further operation which was a lot more intrusive, and after that I fell over in the garden and broke it again before it had a chance to heal....Keystone Cops springs to mind.

Anyway I'm officially healing now and ready to get going on the build again, and of course to keep updating this build log :-)
